THE RISE OF EXTREME SPORTS

Today, we can notice that British kids prefer extreme sports such as surfing, rock climbing, BMX cycling and forsake traditional team sports such as cricket, football and rugby.
British school put « buzz » sports forward.
David Walter, a journalist interviews Roger Draper, the Chief Executive of Sport England about this phenomenon.
Roger Draper thinks that young people are interested by traditional sport but they are more attracted by new sport with an adrenaline rush.
Moreover, the growth of individual or « buzz » sports in schools is a positive move. Indeed, these sports give a chance to get involved in something.
For him, we teach other skill which we don’t have with team sport.
He also explains us that Britain doesn’t forget traditional sports, however the success of extreme sports is very important.
Finally, more schools invested in these sports in building BMX cycle, climbing walls…and pupils are happy with that. They engage in many sports.

It is sure that one should not give up traditional sports even if they are forsaken. They are important especially with the 2012 Olympics which it would be necessary to boost.
Moreover, the team spirit is really present in these traditional sports. Indeed the new sports are solitary ones.
However, these new sports are welcome for young people : they are challenging and provide an adrenaline rush. They are much more impressive to look.
On my side, I prefer to look at surfing than cricket.

It’s better to have choice in several sports : you can choose where you are the best.

For some years, a lot of societies have begun to allow their employes to work at home with internet. There are some avantages when you work at home.First, you are your own organization because you have a great freedom. You can distribute your time for your house and your work. Secondly, if you are married or you have children, this situation of work could be appropriated : you can look after yourselfThirdly, if you stay at home, you get dressed as you want, with a T-shirt and a shirt, because you aren’t constantly supervised.Finally, you can deduce from your tax, a small part of your expenditure of office.However, there are some disadvantages if you work at home.First, you are alone all the day and there is no pressure to make you work. You haven’t any office relations, nobody with whom to eat or to speak when you have some difficulties. Consequently, work at home is an isolation.Secondly, work at home can create disorder and occupy a whole room of your house.Thirdly, your boss can’t see that you work a lot or you make overtime. So, you are more judged on your results.If you want to work at home, it is necessary to keep contact with your boss, to consider your office like a real office, to get dressed like if you went to work and finally, to respect regular working hours.You have to come up the question : is this situation really appropriated with what I want and how am I the most effective ?

English and Internet

The english language influence increases for about fifty years in fact of the globalization of trades. These trades dominated by big countries speaking this language : the USA and the united kingdom.

Today, the most of Internet servers are in English because this is the most speaked language in the world.

Therefore how these servers are principally in English, it inexorably promotes the language dominance.

This is really a vicious circle.

Moreover, 37 % of Internet surfers speak English to 8 % who speak Spanish and 4 % who speak French.

Beside, 45 % of the pages on Internet are in English while only 4.87 % are spanish pages and 3.97 % are French pages.

In spite of the high presence of the English language, the others language percentage increases more and more.

hello,

My name is Fanny and I’m 18 years old. I live with my parents and my sister ; she is 14 years old : sometimes our relations are difficult but I love her.
In spite of I’m an impulsive person, I’m dynamic and sociable.
As for me, I take advantage of the life and « nothing to do » it’s not for me. When I have spare time, I like to see my friends and to go to dance.
Before I have had some experiences in the work world (in a bakery, by example) which make me discover that I like the contact with people. Therefore that gave me desire to start a commercial school.
I don’t have any precise plan today ; however I think in IPAG I’ll find it.
